Scope and Goals
The subject of Intelligent Vehicle Controls & Intelligent Transportation Systems covers a broad interdisciplinary area of the research and development toward next generation mobility solutions. The topics of interest range from computational intelligence methods in vehicle safety applications and autonomous vehicles technologies to new business models based on advancements of transportation information support infrastructure. The special interest of this year's workshop is the impact of the advancements in intelligent transportation systems and information technologies on the commercial logistics and supply chain management infrastructure. The workshop keynote speaker is Dr. Paolo Paganelli from INSIEL. Dr. Paganelli is a leader of the European project "EURIDICE-European Inter-disciplinary Research on Intelligent Cargo for Efficient, Safe and Environmental-friendly Logistics". The goal of the workshop is to bring together representatives from academia, industry and government agencies to exchange ideas on state of the art intelligent vehicle controls and intelligent transportation systems.
